Silver Run Elementary School
Silver Run Sharks,
Food For Thought
"Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers." ----Charles William Eliot
Principal's Message:
I fondly remember my summers as an elementary school student. The cold ice pops on those hot summer days, running around with your friends, playing ball with kids from around the neighborhood, or finding the closest watering hole or sprinkler to cool off from the summer sun. However you spend your summer days I hope each day is filled with new and exciting opportunities. Enjoy!
As for Silver Run, we are working very hard here at school to make sure the next school year is filled with wonderful opportunities for each of you to learn and grow both as a student and as a person. All of us here at Silver Run strive to provide you with a "world class" education. You can help us achieve that end by carving out some time each week to continue to read, write, and practice your math skills. The phrase, "If you don't use it, your lose it" is so very true. Studies have shown that students can regress as much as a full school year in just 2 months of time due to inactivity. The path towards success rests in your education.
Please remember to make responsible decisions that keep you and those around you safe. Don't forget our 4B's...Be respectful, Be responsible, Be safe, & Be helpful
